UPSC Mains Exam Pattern- Complete Guide for Beginners
The Mains comprises 9 descriptive papers, including two qualifying language papers, one essay paper, four General Studies papers, and two papers for a chosen optional subject. The final Personality Test assesses a candidate's overall suitability for civil services and the marks from the Mains and Personality Test determine the final merit list.
