Understanding Biology At The Single Cell Analysis

Single Cell Analysis is that scientists use to study biology at the single cell level. One of the earliest and still widely used methods is fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). FACS allows researchers to identify and isolate single cells based on cell surface protein markers using fluorescent antibodies. The cells can then be collected individually for further analysis. Another technique called fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) uses fluorescent probes to label and visualize RNA or DNA targets within intact cells.
